Do I Qualify?
To qualify for a mortgage, lenders typically require that you have a debt-to-income ratio of less than 50%. This means that no more than half of your total monthly income before taxes can go toward your new mortgage payment. VA and FHA loans allow for higher debt ratios and no income consideration in some cases. To qualify for a conventional loan you need a minimum of a 620 credit score but FHA and VA will allow as low as a 520 credit score!
